GOD'S CALL IS HEARD, NOT SEEN

Imahe
Just because an opportunity presents itself for which we are qualified does not necessarily mean that it is God's will for us to accept it. Many time circumstances "line up" and everything looks good, yet it doesn't seem right. In such cases, we need to hear from God. That's why I say that divine direction is really heard and not seen. We Christians should be more interested in the unseen than we are in the things that are visible.    The only safe to decide which direction to go is by learning to distinguish between the voices we hear. There are always three sources of voices: there's God's voice, our own voice, and the devil's voice. We must learn to distinguish among these three.  We must choose to eliminate all foggy areas in our lives. This is the key to being able to see and think clearly. Fog is very dangerous to drive into, especially a spiritual fog.    We believers should choose to build on what we hear on the...

Using Others

Imahe
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets"   (Matt 7:12). Have you ever heard the term, "Money talks?" This old cliché has some truth to it. How we handle money speaks very loudly about our values, especially among those in the marketplace. One of the common business practices today is to extend payment on invoices to use that time to extend a company's cash flow. The bigger companies can often insist upon even longer times for payment. And because this practice is so prevalent it allows a business that honors their vendors with on-time payments to stand out from the crowd. This delayed payment policy violates a basic biblical principle. "Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor" (Rom 13:6-7). One of your greatest opportunities to show you are different is in the practical ...

A Heart of Flesh and Not of Stone

Imahe
Exposing ourselves to evil and ungodly influences desensitizes us to God and His word. Over time, our hearts become like stone, unreceptive to a fresh word from God.  We cannot continue to resist the prompting of the Holy Spirit without becoming hardened against Him.   Has your heart grown hard toward God? Do you feel as though nothing could soften it? God has a solution.  If your love for God is not what is should be, ask Him to renew your heart and restore your devotion to Him. He will separate you from the influences that are destroying you. He will cleanse you from all filthiness and remove everything that has taken His place in your affections. He will remove your heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh, tender toward Him and His word. "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."  -  Ezekiel 36:26 Providing excellent motivation ...

20 Common Habits Successful People Consciously Reject

Imahe
BY CARMEN SAKURAI 1. They Don’t Define Success With Money. Most successful people define their success with happiness, inner peace, and positive contributions – more than money. Being financially secure certainly can help open opportunities, relieve stress, and offer some piece of mind. But successful people realize that all the money in the world cannot make you happy if you are unable to feel happiness from within. 2. They Don’t Start Their Day Without a Purpose or a Plan. Not only do successful people have crystal clear short and long-term goals, they also know exactly what they must accomplish each day to feel fulfilled as well as bring them closer to their goals. They also take full advantage of the “Golden Hour” which is the first hour after you wake up in the morning. What you do mentally, physically, and spiritually during this first hour, sets the tone for the entire day. 3. They Don’t Set Perfection as a Goal. Successful people practice progress over perfection...

You are an Eagle

Imahe
"They that soar too high but had never learned to land safely often fall hard. Eagles don't stay up in the sky. They need a safety place to find rest. " But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)      Friend, you are an eagle. You've been made in the image of Almighty God. Learn to live above your circumstances. Rise above the petty struggles in your life. Don't let people pull you into strife and division and get you all upset or gossiping. .     Always remember, the turkeys, chickens and crows cannot live at the altitude for which you were designed to soar. God is in complete control of your life. He's promised if you will remain at rest. He'll make your wrongs right. He'll bring justice into your life. You don't have to worry, nor must you be controlled by your circumstances. You...

Keep the Strife out of Your Life

Imahe
Relationship are what really matter in life. Our relationship to God, with our spouse, children, extended family members, friends and others within our communities.Yet all too often, we allow these relationships to occupy much lower positions than they deserve on our priority lists. If we are not careful, we can allow something or somebody to drive a wedge between ourselves and the people who are most precious to us.     To maintain healthy relationships, we need to learn how to keep the strife out of our lives. God made each of us as unique individuals. We have different personalities an temperaments; we approach issues in different ways, so we really shouldn't be surprised when we grate against one another occasionally. Too often, though if someone doesn't agree with our opinion, or see eye to eye with us on some matter, we get bent out of shape and allow strife to foment. I've discovered that just because somebody is not exactly li...

Getting Up

Imahe
How we respond to failure and mistakes is one of the most important decisions we make every day. Failure doesn't mean that nothing has been accomplished. There is always the opportunity to learn something. What is in you will always be bigger than whatever is around you.        We all experience failure and make mistakes. In fact, successful people always have more failure in their lives than average people do. You will find that throughout history all great people, at some point in their lives have failed. Only those who do not expect anything are never disappointed. Only those who never try, never fail. Anyone who is currently achieving anything in life is simultaneously risking failure. It is always better in doing something than to excel in doing nothing. A flawed diamond is more valuable than a perfect brick, People who have no failures also have few victories.       Everybody gets knocked down, it's how fa...

WHEN YOU REFUSE TO CHANGE, YOU END UP IN CHAINS

We humans are custom-built for change. Inanimate objects like clothes, houses, and buildings don't have the ability to truly change. They grow out of style and become unusable. But at any point in time at any age, anyone of us is able to change. To change doesn't always mean to do the opposite. In fact, most of the time, it means to add on to or slightly adjust.    When we are called upon by the Lord to change, we will continue to reach toward the same goal, but perhaps in a slightly different way. When we refuse to cooperate with the change that God is requiring of us, we make chains that constrain and restrict us.   There are three things that we know about the future: 1) it is not going to be like in the past, 2) it is not going to be exactly the way we think it's going to be, and 3) the rate of change will be faster than we imagine. The Bible indicates that in the end times in which we are now living, changes will come much quicker than ever before in history. ...
